Personal Information:

Mr. Velasco has extensive practice in almost all areas of Labor and Employment Law in both the Public Employment and Private Sector, including counseling, wage & hours issues, collective bargaining (including state employees and private and public corporation employees), labor campaigns, as well as decertification proceedings. He has been engaged in labor arbitration, labor administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Puerto Rico Labor Relations Board, the Puerto Rico Labor Relations Commission, Puerto Rico's Public Service Board of Appeals, and the Board of Appeals of Various Commonwealth's Administrative Agencies. He has served as the President of the Board of Appeals (for employment related appeals) and of the Appeals Commission (for real estate appeals) for the Land Authority. He has been the Sole Commissioner for Managerial Employee Appeals of the Medical Services Administration of the Commonwealth Government. He has extensive experience in Labor Employment litigation and arbitration including wrongful discharge cases, wages & hour cases, sexual harrasment cases (he has also served as sexual harrasment claims examiner for private and public sector clients), age discrimination cases, and race and gender discrimination cases in both administrative and judicial forums. He has also engaged in substantive work in government affairs. He has experience in Business Immigration as well as in Copyright law. Mr. Velasco's practice covers Real Estate Law, Estate and Trusts deeds, and other general business and corporate matters including Labor and Employment Law due diligence in commercial transactions.
